James Laidlaw, son of Thomas Laidlaw and Margaret Hughes, was born on 17 January 1898 and baptised on 28 October 1900 in St David's Catholic Church, Dalkeith, Midlothian, Scotland.[1]

He is the son of Thomson Laidlaw and Margaret Hughes.

Strange! Civil Registration says 1898, so Catholic record which says born on 17 January 1899 is "hearsay". And baptism was almost two years after birth!
