Hi...I'm new to WikiTree and was hesitant to join but decided to anyway. I have been doing Genealogical research for over 6 decades and started out learning the long hard way by transcribing old documents & Wills, etc. I have accumulated over 30,000 documents and close to 4,000 photos dating back from the 1800's to date of our Lackey Ancestors and more recent cousins. I am very hesitant to post my documentation online as I did early on years ago only to have it borrowed, stolen and misapplied by inexperienced so-called Genealogists. ancestry.com was my worst nightmare and Find-A-Grave isn't much better with rampant errors and posted assumptions. I have contributed to both but find it very frustrating. I keep all records in an App on my computer but willing to share with cousins.
