I added Raymond A. Capistrant as a son of David & Marie Capistrant. Raymond is my paternal great grandfather. I have a lot of info about the Capistrant, Cardinal, and LaVallee lines going back to Sorel, QC Canada which I'll be adding soon. Through Raymond, I have tracked my ancestry to connect to at least 12 filles du roi (daughters of the King Louis XIV). Over 850 women were sent to Canada from France over 10 years in the 1670s to marry soldiers who were given land grants. They couples were then charged with building a nation. These brave women had over 10,000 babies in 10 years! It's an honor to descend from them.
As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site
Happy tree climbing
