Biography

Annie was born on 1 Oct 1869,^[1]In the 1870 census her father George was 33 and born in Ohio; her mother Sarah age 30 born in Pennsylvania, and Anna was 1, born in Pennsylvania. She had two brothers, Harvey who was nine, and Alvin who was four.^[2]

In 1880 at the age of eleven she was a servant in the home of Samuel L. Weller in Somerset county.^[3]

She married Robert C. Miller on 23 Sep 1890 in Somerset county, Pennsylvania.^[4]In 1900 they lived in Middlecreek Township, Somerset, Pennsylvania At that time they had three children: Florance born July 1891. Mabel born August 1895, and Harry born Mar 1898.^[5]

In 1910 they were in Donegal, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, and had six children: Florence, 1892; Mabel, 1896; Harry, 1898; Frank, 1901; Bessie, 1903; and Ellen, 1909.^[6]In 1920 they remained in Donegal and had living at home Harry, 1899; Frank, 1901; Bessie, 1904; Ellen, 1908; and Maud, 1912.^[7]

Annie died 11 July 1933 at Donegal.^[8][9]She was buried in the Mount Joy Church of the Brethern Cemetery, Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania.^[10]

NOTE: Annie's marriage record shows her father to be John. The mother's name is not given. Her death record shows her father to be George Kring and his wife to be Anna. Looking at dates, this makes more sense. John is her grandfather. Perhaps he was at the wedding. Ann was George's wife Sarah's middle name.
