It is not certain where Wawrzyniec was born or who his parents may be. Because his wife was born in Stare Modzele and baptized at Puchały, a brief, casual search through the Roman Catholic Records of Puchały, Poland did not reveal a male Kosakowski in the age bracket that would suit him.
Wawrzyniec Koszykowski and Vikotya Modzelewska could have married in Zambrow or Puchały but after marriage, Lawrence (Wawrzyniec) Kosakowski lived in Wdziękoń.[1], Lomza, Poland. Family stories dictated that Wawrzyniec Koszykowski worked for a large estate near Modzele. He then lived in Wdziękoń, probably as a farm laborer. [2]. He married Viktoria Modzelewski, who was descended from the old landed Modzelewski family in that region. Laurence , "Warzyneic" (in Polish), was still living when his last child left for America on November 10, 1910.[3] It is assumed that he died between that date and 1918 as his wife was widowed when she died in the Spanish flu epidemic in 1918.[4]
In Polish: Wawrzyńca i Wiktorii Kossakowski
Definitely need to verify that he is not in records of Puchały N.-17 01:17, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
