A piece of information you may find interesting is that my g-grandmother Mary
King Brant (Koenig) left her fathers sermon book at the farmhouse. I have
this book and translated the German. Her father Nicholas (who is buried in
Trinity Lutheran cemetery) wrote the names of all their births inside the
jacket of this sermon book. It states at the top that he came to America on
Sept 1, 1831 and his wife Margaretha came in 1834. The interesting thing
about this date, is my hunch is that Henry Brandt and Nicholas Koenig were on
the same ship.
