Hi Laura, I see you have a Godfrey Case in your tree. I also have a Godfrey Case, although my ancestor was born about 1812, quite a bit after yours, but since this combination of names isn't all that common I am wondering if you know of a possible common theme here? "My" Godfrey Case was born about 1812 in Quebec but I am stuck beyone that. He may be French or French mix heritage (or maybe not even French) according to various census and other records. He was a soldier in Haldimand, Canada for a period of time and had a number of children with his wife, Margaret Pew, an Irish immigrant. One of those children, William Marshall Case, was my 2nd great grandfather. He was also born in Canada, as was his son, my first great grandfather James Harris Case. Thanks! Patti
