” DIED.
” Mrs. Martha Miller died October 9, 1890, the wife of John F. Miller, aged 71 years. The result of this union was eight children, four of them and their father preceded her to the Spirit-land. Mother Miller was a member of the M. E. Church for many years. A good christian nearly all her life. Her illness was of a long and painful character yet she bore it patiently awaiting the time of her deliverance. In her last hours she said my suffering is not to be compared to the joy that awaits me, I am prepared to go to that better clime, the home of the soul.
” The interment took place at Camp Chapel cemetery on Friday, October 10, the Rev. Mr. Hendrickson officiating.

Cold and still ’neath the coffin lid
” Our mother is lying to-day.
” Her form from our sight forever hid,
” Her spirit with those passed away.

Like a golden sheaf in the harvest of time
” Our mother was gathered to rest;
” Her life work’s done; in a fairer clime
” She shall dwell among the blest.

Farewell, dear mother, yet a little while
” We shall meet on that sunlit shore,
” Where no sorrow can enter or sin beguile
” And parting shall be no more.
” J.
