Biography
John was born in 1942. He was the son of Edward and Charlotte Knight. John's mother died when he was very young, and in 1950, he was living in the home of his grandfather, Austin Knight, in Lincolnville, Maine. His father, Edward, was living in Berwick raising 3 of his 7 children.
John served in the US Army during the Vietnam War in Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne. John entered service from Berwick, Maine.
