Emma (Knight) Hayes is a part of US Black heritage.

Emma Ruth Knight was born in December 1859, in Mathews, Virginia. She was the daughter of Carter Knight and Polly Knight. ^[1]

She married Andrew Hayes on 7 September 1873, in Mathews, Virginia.^[1] They were the parents of at least eight sons and four daughters.

She lived in Westville District, Mathews, Virginia, United States for about 30 years.
