William was born in 1865. He was the son of Dr William Knight and Caroline Sedgwick. [1]

William lived with his parents and two siblings in Sharon, Litchfield, Connecticut.

He attained the rank of Sergeant in the Spanish American War.

At the age of 51 he married 34 year old divorcee Anna Black Morey on 24 May 1917 at Manhattan, New York, New York, United States.[2]

Unlikely they had children.

US Census Date 1920: Living with his wife and 12 year old stepdaughter Bernice Morey in Newark Ward 8, Essex, New Jersey, United States. Aged 54.

He passed away in 1936 at the age of 70.[3]
