Benjamin Frederick Klepper was born November 20, 1830, a son of Jacob Klepper and Catherine (Bowman) Klepper. In 1862 he served during the Civil War in the Tennessee Sixty-third Infantry (Fain's Regiment, Seventy-fourth Infantry).[1] He married Rebecca, whose surname is unknown, and they had four children.[2] They lived in Kingston, Caldwell, Missouri, where he was a carpenter.[3][4] In 1917 he was living in Leavenworth, Kansas in the United States National Homes for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers [5]He died March 24, 1918 and was buried in Kingston Cemetery in Kingston.[6][7] Photo of gravestone.
