Miles Fredrick Kjos was born on January 31, 1928 in Stearns County, Minnesota, United States, son of Alfred Oscar Kjos (1899–1971) and Wilhelmine Hollenkamp (~1903–1954).^[1]

Miles died on March 8, 2001 in Seaford, Sussex, Delaware, United States, aged 73. He was buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford, Sussex County, Delaware.^{[2] [1]}
