Nancy Helen Kirkland was born about 1876, likely in New Brunwsick.[1] She was the daughter of James Kirkland and Jenet Cairns. The family moved frequently, but were in Summerside, Prince Edward Island by 1881.[2] Nancy's mother died when she was just 4 years old.[3]
Helen married Pearl Rose on August 9, 1899 in Bangor, Maine.[4] (Marriage certificate says this was 2nd marriage for the bride. To whom was her first marriage?)
