Morris was born in 1817, the son of Elijah and Hester Wisner Kinne. He passed away in 1878 and was buried in Ovid Union Cemetery.

At the recent wedding of Harriet Sayre and Morris Kinne, a joke was played on the couple by pranksters. Among the foods was a beautifully decorated wedding cake. It was really a mixture of corn meal with other ingredients not so palatable, and was three feet nine inches in circumference. None of those invited, took a second helping.

--Mr. Morris E. Kinne of our village died on Thursday night last, after a sickness of more than a year and a half. His case had long been considered hopeless, and he patiently awaited the summons to the tomb. Deceased was a son of the late Elijah Kinne, and several brothers and sisters survive him
