Biography

Caroline was born in 1867 to Gulbrand Kinn and Martha Maria (Erickson) Kinn of Iosco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota.[1]

On May 30, 1887, Caroline married Severt Hagen in the North Waseca Lutheran Church, Waseca County, Minnesota.[2][3][4] The couple had several known children, including:

  1. Henry William (1889-1962), m. Geneva Ruth Bell (1895-1998)
  2. Gilmore Terrance (1890-1960), m. Alma Gustine Jackson (1897-1996)
  3. George Conrad (1893-1918), d. in France during WWI
  4. Mason Sylvester (1895-1973), m. 2 Aug 1928, Ruth Elizabeth Favel (1895-1989)
  5. Elma Synneva (1897-1979), m. George Gottlieb Sutter (1887-1974)
  6. Une (1900-)

On June 5, 1900, Severt (39) and Caroline (33) were living on their farm in Blooming Grove Township with their children Henry (11), Gilmore (9), George (6), Mason (5), Elma (2) and Une (3 months).[4]

On June 14, 1905, Severt (44) and Caroline (38) were living on their farm in Blooming Grove Township with their children Henry (16), Gilmore (14), George (11), Mason (10), Elma (8) and Une (5).[5]

On April 30, 1910, Severt and Caroline were living on their farm in Blooming Grove Township with their children Henry (21), Gilmore (19), George (16), Mason (14), Elma (12) and Une (10).[6]

On January 14, 1920, Severt (59) and Caroline (52) were living on their farm in Blooming Grove Township with their children Mason (24) and Une (19).[7]

By April 3, 1930, Severt (69) and Caroline (62) were empty nesters who had moved from their family farm into the town of Waseca, Minnesota, and were living at 110 4th Avenue, NW.[8]

Severt passed away on January 17, 1933.[9]

Caroline passed away in 1939 in Blooming Grove Township, Waseca County.[1] She is buried next to Severt in the North Waseca Lutheran Church cemetery, Waseca County, Minnesota, USA.[1]
