Charles H. Kingman, Jr., 61, of Summit Township, formerly of Route 8, in Wattsburg, died at home on Monday, January 12, 2009 following an extended illness. He was born in Erie on May 14, 1947, a son of the late Charles H. Kingman, Sr. and Madeline Griffin Kingman.

He graduated in 1965 from Wattsburg High School. Most recently Chuck worked for the Pallet Shop in McKean for 7 yrs. Prior to that he worked in the shipping department at Elgin Electronics in Waterford as a materials handler for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church where he was an usher, enjoyed hiking, walking, bicycling, traveling, Sunday drives, old movies, was a Cleveland Browns fan, and loved music, he was a part time Disc Jockey.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Karen Dolan Kingman; a sister, Patricia Gibbons, and her husband, Rudy, of Erie; many nieces and nephews survive including a special nephew, Loren Gibbons. He will be sadly missed by Buttons, his dog, and Pretty Girl, his cat.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Erie, PA on Wednesday 2-5 and 7-9, with prayer services there on Thursday morning at 10:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Boniface Church at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Olives Cemetery, Erie, PA. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Metropolitan Erie, 110 W. 10th St., Erie, 16501, or the Muscular Dystrophy Association for ALS, 2810 W. 21st St., Erie, 16506. [1]
