Biography

Joseph G. King was born November 19, 1829 in Georgia to father Benjamin King and mother Mary Burson.[1]

Joseph G King was enumerated at 9th District, Carroll County, Georgia for the August 13, United States Census, 1860. He was noted as born 1829 in Georgia and as a farmer with $350 in value of personal estate as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Indiana King, female Sarah A E King, male Wm C King, male Ben A King and male Hiram M King.[2]

Joseph G King was enumerated at Bowdon Post Office, Carroll County, Georgia for the July 9, United States Census, 1870. He was noted as born 1828-1829 in Georgia and a farmer. He had $600 in value of real estate and $400 in value of personal assets as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are female Judianna King, female Larah King, male William King, male Asa King, male Hiram King and male Aaron B Styles.[3]

Joseph G. King died April 6, 1925 in Bowdon, Carroll County, Georgia. He was married. His wife was listed as Francis Hays.[1]

J K King was listed as the father of Sarah Ann Mcburnett who died April 15, 1942 in Robstown, Nueces County, Texas. The mother was listed as Indiana Langston.[5]
