Parkview Grad 19 / Paratrooper Dies in War -- Vietnam action has claimed the life of another Springfieldian, it was learned here today. Sp4 Guy Richard King, 19-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy E. King of 1219 West Lombard was killed in action while serving with the U S. Paratroopers in Vietnam. A 1966 graduate of Parview High School, King entered the service in October, 1966. He had been in Vietnam for the past 10 months. Surviving, besides his parents, are two brothers, Gary and Randy, both of the home; one sister, Dianna, of the home; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Snider, St. Louis; and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence King, 1100 West Madison. The body will be returned to Springfield for services and burial in National Cemtery under the direction of Klingner, with full military rites. [Springfield Leader & Press_MO_Mon 1968 07 22 p 13]
