Biography

Everett Foster King, son of Ernest King and Nellie Blunt, was born 17 January 1903 in Hanson County, South Dakota. [1][2][3]

He grew up on his parent's farm in Fairview Township, Hanson, South Dakota.[4][5]

Lena Marie Petrina Wolf and Everett F. King married on 27 November 1927 in Alexandria, Hanson County, South Dakota by H.W. Schomlien, Lutheran clergyman.[6][7] The Evangelical Lutheran Church record says their marriage place was Goodhope church in Titonka, Iowa, however, that may be where their church marriage record is kept, not the place where they married.[8]

They had three sons and three daughters, including Nellie Lavonne King, (deceased). [9]

They raised their children on their farm in Fairview Township, Hanson, South Dakota.[10][11]

When Everett Foster King, 39, registered for the World War II draft 16 Feb 1942, he was self-employed in Alexandria, Hanson, South Dakota. [3]

In 1950, Everett and Lena King had six children at home in Plano Township, Plano County, South Dakota; sons Leo and Lemant were working for their dad on the farm. [12]

Everett Foster King, 64, of rural Mitchell, South Dakota, died 29 August 1967;[13] burial in Graceland Cemetery, Fulton, Hanson County, South Dakota.[14]
