Family oral history said that he died in a railroad accident working for the Missouri Pacific Railroad on February 10, 1895. No proof.
Newspaper notice:
"Tillar Items...We are sorry to hear of the illness of Mr. Daniel King. The Dr. says he has "a very bad case of pneumonia."
