Biography

Reuben was born about 1812, in Henry County, Virginia.

In about 1844 in Henry, he married Jane Putzel. They had the following known children.

  1. Louisa King b. abt. 1847 - d. 1922, m. Nicholas Hairston
  2. John King b. 1848 - d. 1927, m. Polly Ann Preston
  3. Reuben King b. abt. 1849 - d. 1928, m1/wid. Malinda Hairston, m2. Minnie Woody
  4. Clay King b. abt. 1851

It is unknown when he passed other than is assumed after the 1866 cohabitation record and prior to the 1870 census.
