When Herbert Sydney John King was born on 28 March 1906^[1], his father, John, was 23 and his mother, Ada, was 25. He married Dorothy Annie Frost on 5 August 1928 in England.^[2] They had three children in 18 years. He died on 3 March 1979 in Donhead St Mary, Wiltshire, at the age of 72.^[3]
