Biography
Robert was born in 1855 in Fremantle, Western Australia.[1] He was the son of Robert King and Elizabeth Bridges.
He possibly accompanied his father on a voyage to Toronto on 9 November 1863. He employed a Ticket of Leave labourer at Fremantle in 1874. He went to King George Sound and overseas on 12 June 1876 per Georgette. He returned on 4 October 1878 per Macquarie from Colombo. He departed on 5 May 1879 per Rob Roy for Melbourne.[2]
He married Annie Eliza Abernethy in Perth in 1908.[3]
KING. — On April 29, 1924, at Perth, Robert Mangles King (surveyor), late of Darlington, the dearly beloved husband of Annie Eliza King, of 21 Hooper-street, West Perth, aged 68 years.[4]
