Biography

John was born in 1852. He was the son of William Harvey King and Mahala Jane (Chase) King. In 1860^[1] and 1870^[2] he lived with his parents and siblings in Sullivan County, Tennessee.

He married Martha Angeline Cox on 25 Nov 1873.^{[3][4][5][6][7]} By 1880^[8] his family had expanded to include three children living in Sullivan County where he farmed. In 1900^[9] and 1910^[10] he continued to work on the farm he owned in Sullivan County.

He passed away in 1918.^[11][12]
