James was born 8 Jul 1905 at Bethel, Nashoba, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory.[1] He is the son of Hinson King and Frances Battiest.
James was refused enrollment in the Dawes Land Allotment Program because his paperwork was submitted after the cutoff.[2]
