Biography

Floyd King is a part of US Black heritage.

Floyd King was born about 1909 in Georgia. He was the son of Junk King and Mamie Burns. He was living with them in New Town, Wilkes County, Georgia in 1920 and 1930.^[1][2]

He married Esther in the early 1930 and in 1940 they were living together with their 4 sons in New Town, next door to Floyd's parents.^[3]

Floyd died on 22 May 1981 in Wilkes County, Georgia.^[4][5] He was buried in Hilliard Station Cemetery. His grave indicates that he was a deacon.^[6]
