Birth

Geoffrey Robert King was born on the 18th of June 1923, he was born in Great Horton, York, England and was the son of Sqdn. Ldr. Bernard John and Elsie King, of Thornton Heath, Surrey, England. He was born in Great Horton, York, England

Death

Geoffery was an English student-pilot at the Riddle McKay Aero College, Clewiston, he was just 19 years old. When he was unfortunately killed on the 3rd of December 1942, in a mid-air crash with another training plane manned by an instructor and a fellow student from the Clewiston Field. The two other flyers, fortunately, baled out, it is not known if they were injured. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Frank G. Ireland of St. Edmunds Episcopal.

Burial

He is buried alongside 22 of his fellow cadets in the British Plot War Grave Commission gardens in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia, Florida, the United States of America in Lot 11. Block U. Grave 7. He died in Church.Glades, Florida, United States[3]
