Birth

Barzillai King was born at Raynham, Massachusetts, on 30 Aug 1766, the son of Benjamin King and Deliverance (Eddy) King.^[1] His name in the birth record ls spelled Barzilia. Barzillai is the most common form in the records, and it also appears as Barzella, Barzilla, and Barzillia.

1. On 6 May 1792, Barzella King and Lucinda Gillmore, both of Raynham, Massachusetts, published at Raynham their intention to marry, They married (with the groom's name spelled Barzilla) at Raynham on 27 May 1792.^[2]
