Harold King is born in Hull 27 June 1905 [1] Harold is the son of of George King a rail clerk and his wife Clara Tadman Pacey.
By 1911 George and Clara Tadman King have two children, Doris 8 and Harold 5, and have moved to a new home in Welbeck St. This is a little further from the central station, but the area is quiet and attached to the prestigious Avenues estate. They have taken a boarder, Ernest Dunbar, a draughtsman at the National Radiator Works.[2]
At the start of the Second World War in Sept 1939 Harold is registered for his IDCard, living at 48 Highfield Hull, probably Sutton. His wife is not present but there are two young people (names redacted) and what may be a sister-in-law. He is working in an office, probably at Reckitts which is quite close. [3]
Harold dies in Hull in 1965, not far short of his sixtieth birthday. [4]
