Biography

Hugh King was a Pennsylvanian.

Patrick King and Mary McClary were the parents of Hugh King. The earliest census record located for Patrick King, his father, is from 1820, which places him in Shirley, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.[1]

His first marriage was to Anna Mary Stoner on 2 May 1839.[2]

Among their children were John Patrick King (ca. 1840-1910).[3]

His second marriage was to Angeline Stoner on or about Jul 1858.[4]

In the 1880 census, Hugh King, Angelina his wife, Harvey H King (19) and a cousin, Susan Stoner (62) show up in the Adamsville, Muskingum, Ohio record.[5] For the 1900 census, the household the same people, it appears, except for the son, and a servant named Kitty A Fergueson shows up in the Salem Township, Adamsville Village, Muskingum, Ohio record.[6]

A headstone for Hugh King (1819-1903) is at Prospect United Methodist Church, Dresden, Ohio, United States.[7]
