Bert was born about 1932. He was the son of Heber King and Alice Brown. He passed away in 2010.

Obituary

KING — Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Saturday, June 5, 2010 Bert King (uncle Bert) of St. Jones Within in his 78th year. Predeceased by his father Heber, his mother Alice, brother George, sisters Nellie, Florence, Olive and daughter-in-law Brenda. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Arlettie of 54 years, sons; Brian and his children Joshua and Jeffery of Brampton, On., Keith (Helen) and their children Colin and Andrew of Paradise, brothers; Gilbert (Audrey), Chesley (Rosalind), Gordon (Maxine) all of St. Jones Within, sisters-in-law Lorraine King of Hillview, Minie Rose of Salmon Cove and Bertha Parsons of St. John's, brother-in-law Eric Slade (Jessie) of Salmon Cove, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rested at Faith United Church, St. Jones Within. Funeral service took place on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Faith United Church with interment in the United Cemetery, St. Jones Within. In his memory, donations may be made to Faith United Church, St. Jones Within.
