Gary G. King, 71, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, January 26, 2012, at his home. He was born on February 21, 1940, in LaCrosse, a son of Wesley and Shirley Russell King. On June 9, 1962, he married Eleanor Harris. He was an electrician for over 30 years at Alliant Energy, retiring in 1997. Gary was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge 26, Fond du Lac. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two children: Leigh Anne (Wally) Kohlmann of Oakfield, and Vince (Kathy) King of Iron River, MI; six grandchildren: Kristin Kohlmann, Andrew Kohlmann, Jayson (Sara) Thiel, Joe Thiel, Nick King, and Ryan King; seven great-grandchildren: Kloe, Jayden, Trenton, Morgan, Hailey, Cammi, and Conner; a sister, Carol Marie (Robert) Littlejohn of Swansea, IL; and an aunt, Carol (Les) Becker of Red Wing, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Wesley King Jr. SERVICES: The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2012, at Covenant United Methodist Church, 20 North Marr Street, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Michael Morning officiating. Burial will follow at Estabrooks Cemetery.
