She was tiny and kind. My mother Ethelyn told me that she had one dress that she wore clean and neat each day. She used an ear horn and talked loudly. I was a little intimidated as a little child. I learned how sweet and caring she was. I remember her helping with the household chores, like cooking and hanging clothes on the line to sun dry. She lived with her daughter Rosebud and Howard Haywood when I was a child. I was about six when she passed.
