Ada was born in 1878. Her parents were John King & Sarah (Wynn/Wynne/Whin) King, born in Colac, Victoria.^[1]

She married twice. Firstly to Greville Gattie Carr in 1896.^[2]. The couple had at least 3 children.

Secondly in 1916, she married Francis Edmond/Edward (Smith) Grey-Smith, son of Guy Percy Grey Smith & Alice Margaret (Duffett) Smith.^[3]
