Son of Wesley King and Sallie Reed King.

Married Martha Ann Cox by the Rev. Frank M. Braley, (recorded Fayetteville, Arkansas).

Martha and William had one child who died in infancy. Martha never had another child. William was killed as they were leaving Arkansas for Missouri during the Civil War (1862). Martha died very young, shortly after the death of William. William was killed as they were leaving Arkansas for Missouri during the Civil War (1862).
