Biography

George was born in 1898 to Stewart and Armina (Johnson) King in North Spring Lake, New Jersey. [1]

On 10 June 1905 he (age 11) was living with Stewart B (32), Minnie (29) and brothers Ernest L. (16) and Lester J. (13) in Highlands, New Jersey. [1]

He had 2 brothers and 1 sister. [2]

On 12 February 1924 he and Goldie motored to Wilmington, Delaware to visit Mrs. Severt Walstrom, who was formerly Hattie Mae Derby. [3]

On the 16th March he married Goldie Viola Bogue. [4]

On 26 March 1924 it was reported that he had bought a new automobile. [5]

On 9 April 1924 it was reported that he and Goldie drove Mrs. Siebert Walstrom back to Wilmington, Delaware after Mrs. Walstrom had visited with her mother, Mrs. Derby. [6]

On 15 April 1924 he and Goldie, along with relatives Deborah (her mother), Minnie (his mother), and Mrs. Siebert Walstrom (a relative) motored yesterday to New London, Connecticut to spend several days visiting her late father's relatives, [7]

On 14 and 15 June 1924 he and Goldie stayed in Atlantic City (NJ). [8]

On 9 July 1924 it was reported that he and Goldie had moved into their new home. [9]

On December 1st, 1924 he and Goldie attended a birthday party for her grandmother Lavinia Minton. [10]

On 8 December 1924, he and his wife Goldie visited with friends in Newark. [11]

On 24 December 1924, he and Goldie, along with her sister and sister's husband Mr & Mrs Ivians Voorhees, visited with friends in Newark on New Year's Eve. [12]

On 11 March 1925 it was reported that he, Goldie, and George Jr along with Mr & Mrs Ivans[sic] Voorhees and their daughter Shirley spent three days motor touring through Pennsylvania [13].

On 28 and 29 March 1925 he and Goldie along with Mr & Mrs Ivins Voorhees drove to New London, CT to visit Goldie's aunt Mrs Harry Remmert. [14]

On 20 May1925 it was reported that he, wife Goldie, and son George Jr attended a birthday party for her aunt Katie. [15]

On 9 June 1926 it was reported that he and Goldie had recently moved to Monmouth Hills (New Jersey). [16]

In the week proceeding 13 July 1944 he and Goldie returned from vacationing in Boston. [17]

In September he and his wife Goldie recently returned from a vacation in Canada. [18]

On 18 October 1952 he attended a birthday party for his mother-in-law on Fourth Street. [19]

He died in 1972. [20]
