Eliza was born 27 Dec 1791.[1] She passed away on 23 Jan 1864.[2]
Eliza is a descendant of the Jersey Settlers of Adams County, Missisippi.[3] She erected a monument to her father in 1859 at Farrar-King Cemetery in Adams County, MS. Inscription:
"When at the age of seven years his parents removed to New Jersey, from whence he emigrated to Natchez District in making the survey known as "Ogden's Mandamus," after which he returned to New Jersey to marry Mary Swayze, June 26, A. D. 1774. In 1775 he returned to Natchez District and settled Kingston, in said grant A. D. 1793. He was a man of industry, integrity, and self reliance; To the young, a father; to the aged, a friend. His words of wisdom, his counsel restored peace. In life he walked with God; in death his faith failed not.
On the other side of the monument is this inscription: To the Memory of My Father and Mother. Erected A. D. 1859 by Eliza King Farrar, who was born Dec. 27, 1791, and is the only surviving child of Caleb and Mary King." [3]
