Biography

Zebulon Pike is living in Washington DC in 1850 with his family, including Rudolph.[1]

This findagrave memorial says that Rudolph Alpheus King was a Colonel in the 179th Virginia Militia, and mentions his widow's pension application. However, the pension application (online at the Library of Virginia) does not say that he was a Colonel, and it includes a letter from the Adjutant General's Office indicating that he was a Private, 179th Regiment, Virginia Militia

Rudolph was born in 1842. Rudolph King ... He passed away in 1907. [2]
