Biography

Charles Killian was born in Germany about 1831. He came to the USA and lived in Minnesota. He married Mary Ann (aka Nancy) in about 1858, and they had at least two daughters:

1. Mary Adeline
2. Agnes Ann

Nancy's daughter Arabella may also be his child.

By 1865, Nancy and the three girls and Nancy's son (by another man) are living with her mother. Charles may have left the family or he may have died.

His daughter Mary Adeline lists Chas. Killian as her father in her 1873 marriage license.

In the 1880 census, his daughter Agnes lists her father's birthplace as Germany.^[1]

Research Notes

In 1860, the Jeffreys and the Klians (newly married) lived in Township 105 Range 8, Wyattville, Winona, Minnesota.^[2] Mary A Klian was the daughter of Mary A Jeffrey and the stepdaughter of Horace Jeffrey.
