My name is Valorie and I am a mother to 4 daughters. My husband and I love history and enjoy traveling and learning. From this, I have developed an interest in genealogy over the last several years. I’m constantly collecting, storing, browsing and sharing information with my parents as I find new family connections and stories. I’m a member of the DAR which has furthered my interest. I hope that one day my children will enjoy looking over my research. Each line has a great story and is another piece of how I came to be. I have traced one line to Jamestown and beyond through my Farrar line. I’m working to push through more brick walls and see why other fascinating ancestors that I can uncover.
My DNA suggests predominantly origins from England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Norway and Germanic Europe.

Thanks self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.
It looks like the United States Project would be a good fit based on your branch of WikiTree. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far? Have the tips in the New Member How-Tos been helpful?
Please do let me know if you have any questions about how WikiTree works, no matter how small. My rule of thumb when I started was to search for an answer for five minutes, then reach out to my Greeters, and then resume searching. I might have found the answer before they got back with me but they sometimes offered a different way of doing the same thing which was easier.
You can reach me by using the reply link for this comment or send a private message from my profile by clicking my name. See you in the branches,

P.S. Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? They also control the information which is included in the activity reports which you receive from WikiTree. You can add more, up to 20 total, or delete some if you are receiving irrelevant information.
I am pleased to confirm and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site
Happy tree climbing
