When Horst was a young man, he left East Germany on the pretense of going to visit his father in Munich. Horst never returned to East Germany, until the wall came down. Then he was able to visit the aunt and uncle that raised him. Horst qualified as an optical technician, however, his passion for ballroom dancing changed his career path and he started Kessler Studio of Dancing, in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Horst had three wives. Horst had one child with his third wife. I am Horst's 2nd wife.
