We first see mention of Bridget Girachty in a christening record in January of 1757 in Gainestown, (near Mullingar) Co. Westmeath, Ireland, where she is listed as the daughter of James Girachty (possibly a misspelling/ variation of Geraghty? as there are other families named Geraghty in the area, but this is the only place I've seen the name spelled Girachty so far) and Judith Kenny.
