Clyde was born 17 August 1917 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was the son of James E. Keeling and Mae E. Weir.

He married Adeline Minervia Fuller in Los Angeles, California 22 August 1937. ^[1]

Clyde was the Bombardier of the B-24 Liberator bomber, Dogpatch Raiders - #41-24192 participating in Operation Tidal Wave the low-level attack on the Romanian oil refineries at Ploesti on 1 August 1943. He was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross for the mission.

He married Janet Fowler Lomax 1 October 1949 in Pasadena, California.^[2]

He passed away 10 March 1980 in Reno, Nevada.^[3][4]
