Karen, please check the death date for Newsom-535. It's obviously a typo, but no one else can edit it. Thanks!

Karen, do you happen to speak any other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add

{{ Languages | en | hu-2 }}

to the top of your biography if you speak English natively and intermediate Hungarian, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-1 for basic Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.

It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree! If you only speak English, you're very welcome to use this text to make that clear:

{{ Languages | en }}

Thanks,

Karen

The entry for the Nedra K Banta/Claude Seth Banta Banta family is incorrect. Their son Richard Lee Banta b. 1937 did not die in 2013; he is still living. I am his brother, born 1941. There was never a Sadie Banta; I think she was a falsified name for the 1940 census to get a tax deduction. She is listed withthe dates 1937-2013. My brother, Dale Ellington Banta died about 1979. I am William C Banta b 1941. How do I proceed to correct these completely erroneous entrees? A have a lot more information available, with hundreds of photos.

Karen,

Wish that I could have been of help, but reporging of an unresponsive manager seems to have worked. I get a "little" frustrated by managers who don't respond. anyway - happy you got it resolved and are moving on.

Karen,

I will try to help you with the problem of getting a response from another profile manager regarding a trusted list request.

I will point out that there could be many reasons for his not responding to you (work, illness, vacation, many other requests, etc.)

As you have already learned in our genealogy searches, patience is golden.

I fully understand the frustration that comes from a "no-response", as I have been in that same situation.

One thing you might consider is a question on the G2G feed [look under 'my wikitree' on top of page]

Hi there,

We are really happy that you took the Pre-1700 certification Quiz. Thank you for doing your part to make WikiTree an accurate and openly collaborative place for genealogists to share their research.

Do you have some 1700's people in your tree already ? Now that you have the badge, you can take part in one of our historical projects.

If you have any questions, you can contact one of our Mentors or Volunteer Coordinator, Erin .

Have a great day !

Welcome, Karen! How are things going for you now that you've had a chance to look around and add some of your family tree?

When you have a moment, you should come on over and introduce yourself in our forum thread for new members. It's a great way to meet other genealogists and share what you are working on.
