Biography

Maria (Josephs) Miller was born in the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

Maria Elisabeth Josephs was born on 21 Jan 1877 at Palmer in South Australia, first daughter of Francis James Josephs (1854-1944) and Sarah Warren (1856-1910). [1]

Maria married Alfred Charles Miller (1874-1911) on 1 Jan 1898 at the residence of Alfred's parents called Bagnell Park in Maitland, South Australia. [2] Bagnell Park was one of two private residences in the Southern Yorke Peninsula open for Methodist worship [3]

Maria and Alfred had four children born in Maitland:

Maria passed away aged 28 on 22 Feb 1905 at Maitland in South Australia. [8] Maria was buried at Maitland Cemetery in Maitland, South Australia. [9]
