This is the time for the annual 2024 check in with members of the Military and War Project. Have you been active during the last six months in the Military and War Project? Note that it is a requirement to respond to the Military and War Project Check-ins. Please respond to this message by clicking the reply button below this message, to post your answer. I look forward to hearing from you..
I wrote a comment on Bendig-11 about what you as PM should change in the profile of him and also Bendig-23 to make
1) the Prussian location data fields the way they should be according to the Location Fields guidelines and
2) to remove the category "Immigrants to Pennsylvania from Germany" and replace it with "Migrants from Prussia to Pennsylvania". The reason is also written in the comment.
Please change that in both profiles. Once the category "Immigrants to Pennsylvania from Germany" is empty (only those two profiles are still in it), it can be deleted.
HI Ray, I am still learning the process but I do agree there is an error we have for Truver-2 and Truver-8, Would you please help me to reconcile? Let me know what I need to do. Thank you. Joan ( Havens-451)

Yes, I am still adding any details and sources that I find on the dozens of soldiers whose profiles I have added. I have been active within the past 6 months.
Hey - that is not your kit number on GEDmatch. Your GEDmatch kit number always begins with a letter. For example, my Dad's kit number is A461940 Anyway, the kit number is what we use to compare tests to see if there is a match. Thanks.
Hi Ray, I just wanted to thank you for all the work you've done to improve the US Civil War Between the States Project. I'm doing a check-in with all project members and wanted to verify that you're still interested in being a member of the project. Also, any suggestions for the Project would be welcome. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
P Kreutzer, US Civil War Between the States Project Leader.
Sure - I am still connected to the Civil War project. I am not as active with it as I have been at times in the past, but when I do come across family who served, I always add them to the project and to my personal project page listing all of the Civil War soldiers I have worked on:
Thank you so much for responding to our check-in. We are delighted that you wish to continue contributing to the Military and War Project. Below is a quick checklist for active members. The project leaders would like you to make sure you have done the following:
1) Checked the Project Page for ways to contribute.
2) Added MILITARY_AND_WAR to the tags you follow.
3) PMed the Project Coordinator with your email address to be added to the Google Group.
4) Bookmarked the Activity Feed to monitor the project watchlist.
On behalf of the Military and War Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members.
First, we want to thank you for your past participation in the project. We appreciate your desire to honor your ancestors for their service to their countries, or even for your service, wherever in the world. We hope that your membership has enhanced your WikiTree experience.
Please let me know, by commenting on my profile or sending a private message, if you are still active in the project, and if so, in a general sense how you may have contributed to the main project or any sub-projects within the last couple months.
I hope that you can handle the additions/corrections offered by Fred Blair on the Documents from the War of 1812 regarding Thomas Humberstone and wife. This aspect is a little out of my comfort zone, and I'm returning to another BIG project that has been in the works a long time, but with many delays. You have been doing a great job with this page, by the way!!! Kudos to you!!!
Ray, I feel your pain regarding the addition of an invalid spouse to a PPP profile. I gather that it is technically difficult to prevent that, but maybe we can get that changed. I'm glad you were able to undo the error.
