The posted NSSAR record does not seem to apply to the Gabriel Jones in this profile. There are other soldiers named Gabriel Jones who served in North Carolina. See Revolutionary War Soldiers for NC and SC (added to sources above).
Jones-68046 and Jones-50490 appear to represent the same person because: error 106, vital data is basically the same, but with differences, & linked family should be checked as well before merging (parents, spouses, children, etc)
