Jones Funeral Today From Fresno Church

Last rites for Arle Loyal Jones, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Jones, who lost his life last Tuesday when he was drowned while attempting to ford the San Joaquin River on horseback near his home, will be observed today at 2 p. m. at the Bethel church in Fresno with Rev.

William Opie and Rev. Duncan Wallace officiating. Burial will be made in Mountain View Cemetery. The funeral cortege will leave the home at 1 p. m. today, proceeding to the church. Besides his parents the youth leaves a brother, Giles, and a sister, Vera.

He was born at the ranch and had lived there all his life. He was a member of the Pinedale Sunday School Orechestra, playing the violin and was also a member of the Bethel church here.

While crossing the river last Tuesday, accompanied by Clovis Mudersback. a friend, his horse stumbled and threw him Into the river. Mudersback endeavored to save him. The body was recovered late the following day.
