In 1910, his family moved to Tellico Plains, Monroe, Tennessee, United States.[3]
He married Ruth Marie Curtis on 29 October 1916, in Monroe, Tennessee, United States.[4]
They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters:
- William Wayne Jones-1917–2001
- Dorothy Dean Jones-1919–2016
- Ella Jane Jones-1928–1928
- Reba S Jones-1930–Living[5]
He lived in Tellico Plains, Monroe, Tennessee, United States in 1920 with his wife and one (1) child[6] and Etowah, McMinn, Tennessee, United States for about 5 years with his wife and four (4) children.[7]
